I have owned my DB5 for 20 years, and Excalibur Engineering have maintained it for most of that time -- I wouldn't trust anyone else. They know so much about the marque that it has made my DB5 one of the best driving narrow-bodied Astons around, and there are two related articles about it in the AMOC Quarterly. You can usually spot cars they maintain because of the tell-tale manifold ports -- I know of no one else that uses this accurate technique for "surgical tuning". Referring to Mr Clark's post, from last year: every Aston is different, and has its own "patient history". Excalibur would have tuned your car uniquely according to its state and configuration. It would be naive modern-car thinking to then take it to some non-specialist and expect them to use the "standard" settings from a book.
Mr Clark was aware that all works are carried out under warranty and after being initially very pleased with a very large amount of rectification works carried out, decided to take the vehicle to another garage very close to his home. For some reason things then started to go awry. However this other Garage owner ( a non specialist ) carried out further works and obviously charged for them. This was totally nonsensical as l would have been pleased to do this work as stated under warranty.
Spent many thousands of 's on Weber carbs, only to have experts redo them within wks, ditto horn. Totally disappointed with my dealings and cannot recommend this " Aston Specialist "
