Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening / night, but a warm welcome and knowledgeable staff, as always.
Love the Locks Inn, shame I'm not within walking distance anymore. Fantastic pub at the end of the navigable river waveney, great beer and great food.Visiting when there's live music can be very busy but that's just a minor issue.
One of my favourite hide-always. This place is an absolute hidden gem and if you havent been before, go! Food is fantastic too and very reasonable. There is often live music and there is a very hippy vibe during the summer. Mini beer festivals are common too, and get ready for this candle lit evenings!
Quite a trek to get here but that's just part of the charm. Good choice of real ale, cider too. Food was good but quite a wait as the day we visited was sunny and the Landlord was on his own, both serving behind the bar and preparing the food. He did a good job under the circumstances. Live music venue too.
Good selection of local ales and food was great too. Really lovely, large pub garden by the water. Accessible by boat as well as road. Also a good spot for a wild swim - just head over the footbridge and swim in the river. Definitely coming here again!
